Nehemiah and Nicodemus

I had a dream a few weeks back and I woke up with two names in my head.

(Nehemiah and Nicodemus) Let me tell you this I’m not one who remembers his dreams that much so I had to look into it. So I got my Bible and started to read and find out about Nehemiah and Nicodemus. So I read the book of Nehemiah where he found out about the wall of Jerusalem was broken down, and its gates have been burned with fire." When he heard these things, he sat down and wept. For some days he mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. He confessed his sins and the sins of his people and asked for favor and success with the king so he can go and rebuild the wall and gates of Jerusalem. God heard his prayer and gave him favor and success. Nehemiah goes and rebuild’s the wall and gates of Jerusalem and that’s not all he did. He brought his people back to the land and restored the law. And the whole time the enemy was on the attack but God gave him favor and he got the work done. Things were going good and he had to go back to the king. While he was gone here comes the enemy and starts to break down the law in the land( I’m speaking of the law of  Moses) The people went back to their old ways which was sin and then Nehemiah came back and he was upset with the people. Then Nehemiah restored the law again in the land all with the help of God.

Then I started to find out about Nicodemus where he appears three times in the Bible. John 3:1-21 where Nicodemus goes to Jesus at night and Jesus teaches him about no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. And For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Then in John 7:45-51 where Nicodemus asked does our law condemn anyone without first hearing him to find out what he is doing? When the Pharisees was trying to condemn Jesus and kill him. Then in John 19:39-42 where he helps Joseph of Arimathea take Jesus off the cross and prepare his body for burial and put Jesus in the tomb. (We all know that Jesus did not stay in the tomb amen)This is all that is written about Nicodemus in the Bible.

This is what I believe that God is telling me. To give your heart to God and to believe with all your heart. Be born again in the Spirit and trust and believe in God. Through the Spirit he give us power over all our enemies and through him we can overcome all things in his name. But the enemy is always there and we need to keep a eye on him so we can keep him in his place. I heard this saying and I like it(KEEP YOUR FOOT ON THE DEVILS NECK)I believe this to be true and when you read this I pray that you think that way too. I pray that who reads this takes it to heart and it helps them amen.
